Log Cabin Garages

Interlocking Log Cabin Timber Garage

We are able to offer the following.

We do not offer 28mm log cabins, this is a floor board material, not a construction timber, beware of any manufacturer using the word (strong) 28mm timber is not a construction timber.

Carports ,Garages ,Timber Garages, Wood Garages, Interlocking Garages, Workshop Garages, Timber Workshop Garages, Log Cabin Garages. Cabin Garages and custom design bespoke Garages.

Before you consider the attributes of a brick built Garage, consider this;

Before going through the process of building a brick built garage you will need to put down a concrete base to take the weight of your vehicle as well as providing a level area to put the garage on.

With a brick built or concrete garage you may have to consider deeper foundations to dig to take the weight of the walls, whereas a timber garage can simply be erected on the cars concrete base, without the need for further foundations. This in itself becomes a very good cost saving example in favor of a Timber Garage, even before it has been erected.

In terms of design and meeting local environmental criteria, a logcabins.lv Log Cabin Garage is generally much more favorable to a concrete or brick built garage and as such would be favored by local authorities who do consider whether or not, or how obtrusive such a construction will be . Whilst both brick and concrete can be painted, they are both likely to need repainting a lot more often than wood. Good quality timber coating paints and protection will last for 5 years whereas with brick and concrete repainting can become an annual chore. Here again is an economical cost saving situation, which needs to be considered once your garage has been built.

Labor costs are brought down to a minimum because once your concrete foundation is down you will find that the erection of a Log Cabin Garage is much faster than any concrete or brick built garage.

A Logcabin.lv Log Cabin Garage can also be used as a workshop or even an office. This is due to wood being an insulator thus providing a warmer inside in Winter. Power and lighting can easily be installed without the hassle of hammer drilling into concrete. Internally, you can just screw straight into the walls for any hooks etc. that you may require!

Another important consideration is that of your vehicle. Concrete and brick built garages by nature can build up condensation and dampness which, in turn, may have a detrimental effect upon the vehicle, particularly if it needs to be stored for some time. Timber garages when protected with the recommended paints microscopically absorb air molecules that retain a good circulation of dry air internally whilst disallowing any moisture molecules from the outside elements.

Furthermore, if you decide to sell your home for some reason, a well maintained timber garage will add more value to the entire property.

The other alternative, of course, is that you can disassemble your Beaver Log Cabins Ireland Timber Garage and take it with you.

There are a number of different garages in the range. Each one offering particular benefits depending upon your requirements.

Sizes start from 3mts x 5mts where you have a choice of traditional Garage Doors with one or an up and over door with the other. Both have different designs and are equally popular.

Turning to the other end of the spectrum, Logcabins.lv offers a two storey 6mt x 5mt Garage that provides a Double Garage or, if you prefer, a single Garage and sizeable storage area, coupled with a full length 6mt long room upstairs that can easily be used as an office or for accommodation. Outside stairway access provides maximum internal usage of space.

Often a brick built or concrete garage becomes the more obvious choice for many people. However, there are some disadvantages in making such a choice against considering  a Timber Garage.

Brick built or concrete garages, as such, are classed as permanent structures and may need planning permission depending on where you reside and sometimes, the proximity to nearby buildings.

Timber garages are in the main not classed as permanent structures and in many cases avoid this requirement depending upon the local authority regulations.

In terms of the structure itself you will need to put down a concrete base to take the weight of your vehicle as well as providing a level area to put the garage on.

With a concrete garage you may have to consider deeper  foundations to dig to take the weight of the walls, whereas a timber garage can simply be erected on the cars concrete base, without the need for further foundations. This in itself becomes a very good cost saving example in favour of a Timber Garage, even before it has been erected.

Environmentally and aesthetically a timber garage wins hands down against a concrete or brick built garage and as such would be favoured by local authorities who do consider whether or not , or how obtrusive such a construction may be . Whilst both brick and concrete can  be painted, they are both likely to need repainting a lot more often than wood. Good quality timber coating paints and protection will last for 5 years

whereas with brick and concrete repainting can become an annual chore. Here again is an economical cost saving situation which needs to be considered once your garage has been built.

Once your concrete foundation is down you will find that the erection of a Timber Garage is much faster than any concrete or brick built garage.Less waste and less mess during constuction is also a major factor to consider.

Timber garages can also be used as workshops or even offices. This is due to wood being an insulator thus providing a warmer inside in Winter. Power and lighting can easily be installed without the hassle of hammer drilling into concrete. Internally, if you need to fix hooks or other accessory items on the inner walls, Rawlplugs become obsolete !

Another important consideration is that of your car.

Concrete and brick built garages by nature can build up condensation and dampness which, in turn, may have a detrimental effect upon the vehicle, particularly if it needs to be stored for some time. Timber garages when protected with the recommended paints actually, microscopically absorb air molecules that retain a good circulation of dry air internally whilst disallowing any moisture molecules from the outside elements.

Finally whilst many concrete and brick built garages are guaranteed for 10-15 years.

A well treated timber garage, will last a lot longer provided that you have bought good quality timber from an experienced bona-fide manufacturer such as ourselves at log cabins.lv where we can advise you to use the correct and most suitable protective paint or coating for your requirements.

Furthermore, if you decide to sell your home for some reasons, a timber garage will add more value to the entire property, especially if you have taken care of it properly.

The log cabin.lv range of Timber Garages are specifically designed to give you maximum benefit and comfort as well as superior design features that enhance the area in which they sit.

There are 5 fabulous buildings in the logcabins.lv range of timber garages.

Firstly the Southborough is an ideal Timber Garage offering the additional benefit of a workshop or office alongside. Plenty of natural light offering an excellent “work from home” environment.

The Skipton offers the same kind of benefit but is designed so that your office or workshop sits behind the area for your vehicle. This is an ideal shape where space is limited to just over the width of a car but depth is not a problem.

The Dartmouth is a superb timber building providing you with the benefit of a double garage with separate access to the vehicles coupled with an outside staircase  to an upper floor for your office or workshop (which maximises internal space usage for your vehicle). Carefully designed for top grade aesthetic acceptability.

The Dereham provides a straightforward double garage, again with individual access, without the office accommodation. The double pitched roof serves as an excellent opportunity for an optional small mezzanine area that can be built for storage of smaller items and tools etc.

Finally the Eastwood boasts a substantial office where you can easily greet clients and entertain guests in comfort, alongside which sits a superb, beautifully designed garage.

These and other bespoke garages are just part of our very comprehensive range of top quality timber buildings. For further information please contact our office or one of our UK appointed dealers who will be pleased to assist you and provide any further information.
